In a bizarre crossover event that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited rituals and fearsome transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a secret sect.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Content

This update also brings the game's third complimentary story content, titled "The Enigma."
